This adapter fitting kit is used to join the soft rubber fuel line to the . Two are used on the high-pressure fuel supply side (also eliminating the failure-prone plastic firewall fitting), and two more can be used on the low-pressure return side. Volkswagen originally stuck the hardline into the soft line and hose clamped them together on the return side since it is low-pressure, however we prefer the more secure connection of these adapter fittings. We recommend ordering and installing two kits (four adapters) for a durable connection and greater peace of mind.
